I'm one of those people who needs music. Especially when I'm in a bad mood. I can either listen to songs that bring me down, or find some that make me happy. Like this one.
One summer when I worked at Hersheypark, I made a tape of this song... nothing but this song. And when the employees came in all cranky and unmotivated to be pleasant to Hersheypark guests (a HUGE no-no for the games department), I would put it on and make them listen to it until they laughed. Usually, the listening of the song also included me jumping up and down to the beat... cause really, how can you not listen to this song without jumping up and down? I even had the lyrics printed out, laminated, and posted to our employee-only area so they could sing if they wanted to. I already knew the words :)
Somewhere I still have that tape. And thankfully, I have it on CD and can play it anytime I want to over and over again thanks to the repeat button. I haven't played that song in a long time. But today, I'm in a blah-ish kind of mood... and this song is already helping me snap out of it.
And I can't forget to give props to my OAO... he is the one who introduced me to this particular ELO song.
