Countdown to a new release from the Weepies

I first wrote of the Weepies back in January when I shared my thoughts on the movie Because I Said So. Click here for a refresher and to hear the song that made me fall in love with music by the Weepies.

The way I see it, you know your music is good when it's picked for TV commercials and movie sound tracks, not to mention hundreds of thousands of itunes downloads. I got to hear a sneak peak of the first song to be released from their new CD and it's awesome. It's called Hideaway. Give it a try. You're gonna love it too, especially if you're someone who, like me, goes in to hiding now and again in an effort to discover a new layer, meaning, and purpose.

I hope you like the new song as much as I do. Music from the Hideaway CD is already set to be featured in Sex & the City: The Movie (in theaters May 30, for all those anxiously awaiting opening day!), not to mention various magazines and music websites (Billboard.com, for example).

Music that speaks to the soul - that's what the Weepies produce. And that's why I like them so much.
